VfB Stuttgart 1-3 Arsenal

VfB Stuttgart 1-3 Arsenal
It would seem that the man they call the Wizard will have a few tricks up his sleeve this upcoming Barclays Premier League Season. The Young Arsenal Team that seemed so destined for collapse from two seasons ago still has some fight in them yet. The Arsene Wenger Managed team, despite blowing a post Christmas Lead atop the league and faling to win a trophy since 2005, showed their resolve by continuing to punish what would seem to be older teams. The Win over VfB Stuttgart by a team that averages about 21yrs, show that Wengers youth policy is not to be written off for the Upcoming season.

Manchester United interested in Henry

Manchester United interested in Henry

Manchester United’s failure to sign Tottenham’s striker Dimitar Berbatov has left Sir Alex Ferguson with no other alternative but to look elsewhere. Catching the attention of the United manager is former Arsenal striker and Barcelona player Thierry Henry.

Reports have indicated that the man who was voted the best “Gunner ever” by Arsenal fans may make a return to the Premier League and represent the defending champions. Henry’s traits as a striker fit the characteristics Ferguson is looking for in a striker and Henry would make an excellent addition to United’s strike force of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez.

Much to the dismay of Sir Alex Ferguson, Henry has stated in the past that he will never play for any other Premiership team besides the Gunners and aside from that Henry is a major part of new coach Guardiola’s team and after just one season in Spain will be looking to show the form he showed at Arsenal to help Barcelona win the La Liga.

Arsenal - Wenger: Bischoff Is A Gamble

Wenger: Bischoff Is A Gamble

Having signed French-born Portugal Under-21 international midfielder Amaury Bischoff from Werder Bremen, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted the capture is something of a gamble.

He said of the 21-year-old: "Bischoff is a new player that is young and promising with talent.

“He has had a long break due to surgeries on his groin injury and we may have to wait two to three months for him to reach full fitness, and it is a gamble on his talent."

Bischoff was a youngster with French clubs SR Colmar and Strasbourg before moving to Bremen in 2005. He can play either in the centre of midfield or on the right, and was a regular at youth level for Werder.

He made just one senior appearance for the Bundesliga club, against Celta Vigo in the Uefa Cup in 2007.

Although he has played for France's Under-18 team, in 2007 he elected to train with Portugal and has appeared for their Under-21 side.
