The sentiments cannot be hidden as many Jamaicans were no doubt happy to see the man who led the team to the 1998 World Cup Games back at the helm. But in his first Major test, the question is, Has he made a major Blunder? i know he believes that Jesus Saves and we in Jamaica being so highly religious have no doubt about that, we also no that God help those who help themselves. Simoes seems to have gone the opposite in seeking to condemn himself and the whole of Jamaica along with himself. There is no doubt that there is Talent in Jamaica and belief must be put in our local talents, but to omit Jamal Campbell-Rice and Marlon King from such a crucial game against Canada seems almost suicidal. King the most prolific over the last couple of months and Campbell- Rice the most attacking threat down the wings will have to be viewed in terms of a blunder in omission. The depth of the crisis becomes more apparent when he preferred to keep long time veteran and 1998 campaign hero Deon Burton despite his lack of potency in recent times both for club and country. I personally welcome back Jermaine Hue as since the team was desperately in need of an attacking link, a general so to speak to compliment Rudolph Austin. I', a firm believer in giving one enough rope to hang one's self, but i hope Simoes realizes that these decisions have only made the rope tighter around his neck. at the end of the day all i can say is Rise Up Jamaica, Stand and take your place... the journey has just begun- Rise Up!!
